It’s no secret we love Mexican food here at Obsessedwithjapan! So it should not come as a surprise that we wanted to check out Zest Cantina Odaiba for some time…

The restaurant interior is a cave-like, dim-lit with art-nouveau chandeliers. It’s pretty!  Ther is no natural sunlight, which makes it a great place to hide away from the sun and heat and escape to an almost movie-like set.

When we arrived, we did not expect it to be that big actually. In seats as well as in setting, with ample space for each table, giving each a bit of privacy. Really a great venue if you want to visit with a bigger group. We have also seen a few families, it’s really pretty casual. A nice place to come to, whether you were just doing some shopping, a family day out or for a date.

The staff speaks English and so is their menu. It’s short and sweet, whit a huge drinks list. So if you are looking to get some cocktails, you are in the right place!

Tell me about the Food!

As for the food, tacos were what we wanted. They do a set of 4 varieties for ¥1000: Chicken, beef, lamb, and shrimp. If you get them as singles they are ¥300 each, giving you a bit more flexibility. Which one did we love? The chicken did not impress us, nothing mind-blowing there, but the beef taco was excellent! The moment we ate it we wished we had ordered 4 of them. We would come back just for those! Spicy, smokey and just the right amount of filling, tasty!

We also got Salsa and crisps as a side, no complaints, only that the portion might have been a bit on the small side for $300. And last but not least how about those cocktails? They put a smile on our faces ☺️

In case you don’t want to come all the way to Odaiba, they have a sister restaurant in Ginza. Our conclusion, if you like Mexican food we do recommend checking it out, our Taco cravings are under control again, thanks to them!
