Chikyu Tabi Cafe or as they also call it “Today is my life!” is a cute restaurant that made us feel like we were not in Tokyo but somewhere else, maybe in South America? Turkey? Somehow we got kind of a Peruvian vibe..

It’s an organic restaurant and its based on the owner’s love for traveling. We love that! You can learn more about their history while you are there from the back of the extensive menu or you can check out their blog here.

The Cafe itself is very cozy with only a few tables and the decoration really transports you to a faraway country, very colorful and artistic. As you enter it, you might wonder what that tiny house is for, it’s actually the Bathroom, just really adorable.

We came here for lunch and they have a great deal with a main around ¥1000-1200, just add a drink for ¥300 and/or dessert for another ¥300. You might want to decide about the dessert later, as the wagon wheel portions are rough to get through. We loved the generosity of it as well as the small additional details added to each dish. For example, the fresh grapes and cranberry in the salad really added that extra yum!

Now if you love hummus this is another reason to come! their hummus plate really made a great impression! Fresh, tasty and what we loved most; enough bread to really enjoy it. Just for adding those extra few bits of bread they deserve extra bonus points!

The staff was friendly and made us really feel welcome! As for the menu, it has a lot of pictures, as well as some English, so it is easy to understand. We love that they source organically and furthermore, they are vegetarian-friendly. As you might know, this can be a bit hard to find in Tokyo.

Our Opinion? We really loved it and want to come back to check it out for dinner, we have a feeling reservations might be necessary though!
