Kaithong Tokyo is a small, well-hidden restaurant in Shibuya, but well worth visiting!
They stick to what they do best and only have 1 dish. If you are looking for more variation this is not the place, but if you want to eat authentic Hainanese Chicken Rice, then Kaithong Tokyo is a must-visit!
It’s a small shop, just a few tables, so it can be difficult if you come in a group.
But ordering is quick and food arrives with unnatural speed. The rice was deliciously garlicky. And the sauce and large topping of cilantro just made the whole dish complete!
The Hainanese Chicken Rice was 850¥ and you can get a set deal with a drink by adding 200¥ a salad.
If you are in Shibuya and craving authentic Hainanese Chicken Rice. Kaithong Tokyo is the best place! And another great thing, they do take away too!!!
