Crisscross Restaurant is well known for its breakfast and brunch in Central Tokyo. Located in stylish Omotesando, close to Shibuya, it opens early from 8 am and offers western-style breakfast including savoury pancakes!
Be prepared there will be a wait, as this is a very popular breakfast spot, but it’s not too bad. We only waited around 15min, as the queue moved fast. There is ample seating, also outdoors and even if you are in a group you will get a space.
The most famous dish is probably the Buttermilk pancakes with sausage and fried egg for 1400¥. As well as Buttermilk pancakes with whipped cream, vanilla sauce and macadamia nuts for the same price.
And yes, the pancakes were delicious! With perfectly fried eggs, maple syrup and sausage, this was really the perfect Sunday brunch. And we love the free refills on coffee and tea!
To be honest, everything that came out of the kitchen at Crisscross Restaurant looked mouth-wateringly good! with the table next to us having the sweet pancakes and eggs Benedict. So your main problem here will be what to choose, which is not a bad problem to have, right?
We will definitely come back and are adding this to our top breakfast places in Tokyo!
