Gyoza Shack is all you ever wanted from gyoza and more!

What we loved about it, is that they do wine and gyoza! A rather unusual pairing, but so good when done right.

This place is usually busy as people know it from tv and magazines and we get why. They have a great selection of gyozas; different meats, fried, boiled and each accompanied with its own sauce. Ranging from red wine to soy-based. It’s really special and totally up-sold the humble gyoza.

We ordered a bit of everything as always. Their “house gyoza” costs ¥390 for 3pieces, but on average they are about ¥600 for a set of 3. A bit more pricey than you would normally pay, but totally worth it! They even have a sweet variation to complete your meal.

The selection of wine is also nice. Either get a bottle to share or order by the glass. If you choose to try different once, expect around ¥600 per glass. They also have a nice offering of antipasti to go with it.

The menu is mainly in Japanese but has some English and the staff is super friendly, so if you are a little stuck don’t worry, they are happy to help. We loved that we got a standing table outside as it really added to the whole experience.

So, all in all, we thought that Gyoza Shack was a great discovery and we would come back anytime! Especially if you do like your wine or know someone who does, come here for a fusion treat!
