We are not the biggest video game players here at Obsessed with Japan, but we do have a soft spot for Nintendo. So the news that Nintendo’s first official store is opening in Tokyo on the 22nd of November, made us a little excited!
Whether you like Super Mario, the Legend of Zelda, or who remembers Megaman? This will definitely be a place to pop in and have a look. It will be located inside the new Shibuya Parco shopping center also opening on the same day. You will find it on the 6th floor, right next to the newest Pokémon Center. Now that is what we call catching two birds with one stone!

Of course, there will be interactive demos, exclusive merchandise, games and more. So the opening of this shop may just as well be perfectlly timed and solve many of your Christmas present dilemmas this year. We would not mind finding anything from the Legend of Zelda in our Christmas stockings, to be honest…
There will be a pre-opening on the 20th and 21st November, where 250 lucky fans will be allowed to check out the shop before it opens to the public. If you want to be one of them, apply for the event here with your Nintendo account (which is easy to register online). The results will be shared by the 13th of November, so make sure to get your application in before. Who knows we might see you there!
