Jiyugaoka Chanoko Cafe a small Restaurant on the promenade of this trendy area! So if you are looking for a place to eat in Jiyugaoka, this is a great Cafe to visit!
Although looking tiny on the outside it’s quite spacious with a loft area, that adds to its country house vibe.
The staff is super friendly and all though only speaking Japanese they are making a huge effort!
We came for a snack and ordered the “hot Sando”. A pizza-style sandwich, which was pretty delicious! We are still sometimes surprised to get a “paper-sleeve” to put your Sandwich or Burger inside. We guess the good part is, you won’t lose half the filling if you are a bit clumsy.. ????
The table next to us ordered the Curry, so we had a little spy. It looked/smelled tasty and was pretty huge in size, so if you are hungry, that might be the one for you.
They do a lunch set for ¥1500 from 11-? (we are not kidding they blanked out the “until-time”, sorry). Including either taco rice or beef curry with filter coffee or tea. Or if you have a sweet tooth get their dessert set for ¥950.
All in all, Jiyugaoka Chanoko Cafe is a really nice place to have a quick break, before you go back and explore this very European Neighbourhood in the west of Tokyo again.
