Madosh Cafe Shimokitazawa is all about heroing Avocado! Now we love eating Avocado and when we see a Restaurant that’s all about it we definitely had to try it.
This place is on the second floor and looks pretty cool on the outside, but unfortunately, the interior is a bit makeshift. Some might call it a bit tacky and to be honest once we entered we were not sure if this was a good Idea… As it was pretty empty and being in a starving group of 5, we risked it and we were all glad we did 🙂
They do a Lunch set for 1800Yen that includes Main, Soup, Drink Bar, Smoothy and Crackers, which was a really good deal. Especially considering the Mains are about 1200Yen and Drinks are around 500Yen on their own.
We had to wait quite a bit, which could have been because there was 5 of us, but once the Food arrived it was pretty tasty. The nicest surprise, for me, was the Avocado Smoothy! Super delicious and as an added extra they offer a variety of syrups so you can flavor it to your taste. Though in our opinion it was awesome just the way it was 🙂
So if you love Avocado, this definitely is a great place to go to. We highly recommend the fried avocado with cheese and ham (so yum!), just be aware it might be a bit more on the casual side. They also have a second location in Harajuku, check it out here! We thought it was a bit cuter, but this one is great for bigger groups.
