And we particularly love the outdoor seats, great to people watch on a sunny day! 

To be honest, it is a busy cafe, but because it only serves cakes and the occasional sandwich, people turn around quickly and you should be able to get a table. We also noticed half the customers get take out, so if you do see a queue don’t be too worried.

This time we only got a quick cappuccino for 430¥. But we liked the look of their drink and cake sets and the iced green tea latte looked amazing! No wonder it’s their number 1. seller! And at 500¥ it is pretty good value.

We think Forest Terrace Meiji-Jingu is the perfect place to have a rest from sightseeing and a great quick stop before you continue to explore this beautiful shrine or head off to have a look at the rest of Yoyogi Park.

And with old school, we don’t mean traditional Japanese. We mean skateboards, turntables, and stencils. Like a cool place that sells homemade cakes and muffins. 

And as the name already suggests “Little Nap Coffee Stand” is not a Cafe. With 4 window counter seats, a bench and a few places outside it’s the perfect stop to rest. Plus they are dog-friendly, so why not go for a walk in Yoyogi Park and come here for a treat?

The guys were friendly and we could have stayed for hours. Listening to the chilled beats watching the outside world pass by….

We got a coffee for 480¥ and the lemon cake for 200¥. And the cake tasted like home. We are not kidding but it was like our mums made it! Soft, sugary, lemony with a nice frosting, just the perfect balance.

We will definitely come back and are putting it on our best coffee in Tokyo list!

Furthermore, what’s great they are a dog-friendly Restaurant and even have a special dog menu for your furry friend. 

They play hip hop and rock music, which gave it a lively vibe and don’t worry the volume was pleasant. You can still have a conversation. Also, they have a screen where they show movies at times.

As for the Food, they do some deals; like salad plates with baguette for lunch which are great. If you come for dinner or drinks, we think their tapas-style plates are really what you will love. And if you get a coffee expect it to be adorable…..

We did get a latte for 600¥ (including adorable latte art) and the peach cheesecake for 680¥ which was delicious!

What can we say, it’s the perfect place to come any time of day and if you love or have a dog its the perfect place to hang out!

It has that beach-cafe style look, with comfy sofas and ample space to relax. It’s colorful and super photogenic and we love the outdoor seating, a tough one to find in Tokyo.

This place is very popular with young mums as well as dog owners as it is one of the best dog-friendly Cafes we found. So don’t be surprised to see a hand full of cute dogs around the place. We guess this makes people either love or hate it. We count ourselves to the first group of people ????

It’s normally quite busy. So just put your name on the list when you get there and wait or alternatively reserve in advance online here. You might need to do so a few weeks before, especially on weekends. But in case you really cannot wait at all, there is a tasty alternative close by called “Life“.

As for their fare; They have great homemade lemonades. Try the yuzu ginger – it’s so refreshing! The food itself is mixed with international dishes but also curries, pizzas or even egg Benedict. Which also qualifies this as a great brunch spot in Tokyo on weekends!

If you go around noon, they do lunch deals, just choose a main and ad ¥400 for the Mini Salad & Drink Set. Or if you fancy a glass of wine you can get that too at an extra ¥300. Rice bowls with toppings such as the spicy chicken come in at around ¥1,200. We ordered this one, as well as the daily fish plate and both, were super tasty!

On a different occasion, we went a bit wild and tried the lot, check out the photos below, but be warned, they look mouth-wateringly delicious!
